As the first manufacturer of the 1,000 Å Fused-Core® particle, Advanced Materials Technology recognises the benefits of unrestricted pore access when analysing large proteins. HALO® BioClass Protein phases have been developed in both 400 Å and 1,000 Å to make the separation of large molecules by reversed-phase chromatography easier and more efficient.

HALO® Protein columns are available with C4 or new sterically-protected ES-C18 chemistries in both 2.7 µm and 3.4 µm particle sizes. Perfect for the separation of large biomolecules ≤ 500 kDa including monoclonal antibodies (mAbs), antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs), and biosimilars, HALO® Fused-Core® columns produce narrow peaks are higher recoveries versus smaller-pore phases and fully-porous molecules. Additionally, HALO® 2.7 µm columns offer comparable peak capacities to sub-2 µm fully-porous columns at 40–50% of the backpressure.

HALO® Protein columns are manufactured to the highest quality standards, ensuring rugged column performance at low pH and high temperatures. HALO® columns are compatible with both HPLC and UHPLC instrumentation for rapid, high efficiency bioseparations.
