Non-invasive flowmeters for real-time monitoring

17 Jun, 2026

Biotech Fluidics offers a range of non-invasive flowmeters designed for real-time monitoring of liquid flow in analytical and bioprocessing applications.

Unlike traditional volumetric flow measurement systems, which can be limited in temporal resolution and sensitivity, the company’s heat dispersion-based technology provides high-resolution, real-time data on flow stability and variation. This enables users to detect transient fluctuations and gain a more detailed understanding of system performance.

Each device is compact and supplied with dedicated PC software for continuous recording, monitoring and storage of flow data, while an integrated OLED display provides live readouts during operation.

The portfolio includes solutions covering a wide range of applications, from preparative chromatography and process optimisation through to low-flow analytical and microfluidic systems. At the higher end, the High Flow Meter supports flow rates up to 650 mL/min for preparative applications, while the Semi-Prep Flow Meter enables continuous monitoring of HPLC, flash chromatography and bioreactor feed systems.

For analytical workflows, the HPLC Flow Meter covers flow rates from 1 µL to 5 mL/min, while the Micro Flow Meter is designed for ultra-low flow applications down to 0.01 µL/min, supporting UHPLC, LC/MS and micro- and nanoscale bioprocessing environments.

Together, the range is designed to provide continuous, non-invasive insight into liquid handling performance across a wide spectrum of laboratory and process applications.
