AkzoNobel/Separation Products (Kromasil) is proud to present its new analytical platform, Kromasil® Eternity™ - Design for long life

Based on the ever increasing demand on HPLC-, and UHPLC-columns, Kromasil Eternity is developed on a new generation of porous Kromasil silica, 2.5 and 5.0 µm. A novel technology is implemented leading to the formation of an organo-silica particle, pat. pending. This new analytical platform has an organic/inorganic interfacial gradient covering the silica, ensuring long life time for the column. Subsequent functionalization and endcapping of the organo-silica particle is performed using well known chlorosilane based chemistry, providing a material suited for most demanding separations.

The first product based on the Eternity platform is a Kromasil Eternity C18, which virtually offers no pH restrictions during method development. It has a pH user window from 1 to 12, all thanks to the organic/inorganic interfacial gradient covering the silica. Kromasil Eternity C18 is a long lasting product even under tough pH conditions as well as at high temperatures.
