Saccharide analysis is of great importance in the food industry. Typically, amino bonded HPLC columns have been used for the analysis of mono- and oligosaccharides. Conventional aminopropyl bonded phases may produce tailing peaks due to adsorption, particularly for aldehyde containing saccharides, and have low column lifetime. Nacalai Tesque, Inc (Japan) has introduced COSMOSIL Sugar-D, a novel alternative to aminopropyl based HPLC phases. It exhibits superior durability and improved peak shapes due to minimised undesirable adsorption. Nacalai Tesque also offers the COSMOSIL NH2-MS column range for saccharide analysis.

For further details on either column range, and details of Navalai Tesque, Inc's reduced cost evaluation column programme, please contact authorised distributor Hichrom Limited on Tel: 0118 930 3660 or email.
