Agilent Technologies Inc, recently introduced the 6120VL, an entry-level mass detector based on proven Agilent single quadrupole LC/MS technology. This new affordable single quadrupole MS system is fully integrated with Agilent’s UHPLC systems and will allow academic, industrial and pharmaceutical laboratories to benefit from the analytical advantages of mass detection.

“Mass detection is becoming an increasingly important option for many liquid chromatographers who require greater sensitivity and selectivity than UV or a photodiode array detection can provide,” said David Edwards, Agilent’s senior director of LC/MS marketing. “The Agilent 6120VL is a single quadrupole mass spec system for users looking to add the sensitivity and specificity of mass detection to their LC systems.”

The 6120VL is a high-performance mass detector for Agilent LC systems, including the 1260 Infinity LC and 1290 Infinity LC systems. The 6120VL is based on the proven robustness and reliability of the 6120 SQ instrument. Agilent’s new OpenLAB Chromatography Data System software will support high-throughput laboratories, and new eLearning tools will simplify training for new users.
