YMC-Triart Diol now officially certified for SFC Usage
Apr 24 2019
YMC-Triart Diol is now officially certified for its usage under supercritical fluid chromatography (SFC) conditions by the independent AFIN-TS institute (Analytisches Forschungsinstitut für Non-Target Screening GmbH). The selectivity and the separation efficiency in SFC mode of YMC-Triart Diol (1.9 µm, 12 nm) was tested.
17 substances with different logD values were tested to verify the column selectivity of YMC-Triart Diol. The goal was to achieve the best separation in the shortest time. All substances could be separated and detected, which proves the versatility of YMC-Triart Diol. The certificate’s chromatogram shows the 7 substances, which could completely be separated.
In order to check the separation efficiency and selectivity of YMC-Triart Diol, 4 compounds with very different log D values were tested using 3 different backpressures. The results show very consistent behaviour for all compounds at each backpressure. Furthermore, a very broad flow rate range can be used without significant effects on the efficiency, which nicely corresponds to the behaviour in LC mode.
