PerkinElmer Introduces New Supra-Clean™ and Supra-Poly™ Solid Phase Extraction (SPE) Solutions for Fast and Consistent Sample Preparation
Aug 05 2011
PerkinElmer, announce the launch of its Supra-Clean™ and Supra-Poly™ Solid Phase Extraction (SPE) product lines for fast and accurate sample preparation for environmental, food and pharmaceutical analysis.
The Supra-Clean and Supra-Poly SPE product lines are designed to offer customers specializing in quality control and product safety and integrity a sample preparation solution that decreases their preparation time, while maintaining a high level of reproducibility.
“Our customers have identified time and reproducibility as being their two primary challenges in preparing samples for the identification and quantification of environmental contaminants, as well as the extraction of pesticides, drug residuals, and mycotoxins from food samples,” said Jonathan Dilley, vice president, aftermarket solutions, Analytical Sciences and Laboratory Services, PerkinElmer. “Our first generation solid phase extraction products will meet our customers’ challenges as they are precisely manufactured to yield uniform performance in a fraction of the time compared to other leading sample preparation techniques.”
Supra-Clean, silica based SPE and Supra-Poly, polymer based SPE, both utilize Precise Bed Technology™ and spherical media, which allows columns to be evenly and consistently filled with particles sized for optimum distribution. This homogeneous filling and spherical media yield a +/- 1% variation in bed volume precision, a significant improvement from the industry average. This level of quality control allows customers to experience consistent sample preparation performance column to column, batch to batch, and lot to lot.
