Powerful Tool for Continuous Polymer Analysis Announced

Pyrolysis Gas Chromatography (Py-GC) is a powerful characterisation tool for polymers including insoluble solids and composite materials. Py-GC is extensively used in a wide spectrum of application areas such as polymer chemistry, quality control, forensic science, environmental research, energy related technologies, geological science, and food chemistry.

To increase the performance and flexibility of your Py-GC/MS system, JSB offers a broad range of innovative products around Frontier Laboratories analytical pyrolysers or µ-Reactors.

The Auto-Shot Sampler: AS-1020E has been developed to allow unattended analysis of multiple samples. This equipment provides significant cost savings by reducing operator workload and increasing efficiency.

The Multi-Shot Pyrolzer features: continuous operation for up to 48 samples; samples can be analysed by any of the four analytical methods (EGA, Single shot pyrolysis, double shot pyrolysis and heart-cutting); eliminates operator-related variation.

Assuming the average time to obtain a pyrogram is one hour, analysis of 48 samples can take up to a full week in the absence of an autosampler. The same results can be obtained in two days if the Auto-Shot sampler is used, whilst freeing up the operator to work on other tasks.
