Testa Analytical Solutions e.K has enhanced the capabilities of its rapid scanning UV Detector by introducing a novel flow cell that enables its operation at elevated temperatures.

The durable flow cell of the UV detector uses fibre optic connections to link it with the rapid scanning UV detector, allowing it to be securely positioned as far as 1 metre from the high-temperature process under observation.

Initially, this top-performing UV monitor was designed to function in the heated sample compartment of a Gel Permeation Chromatography (GPC/SEC) system with high temperatures of up to 210°C.

Various configurations of the distant flow cell are offered to allow UV monitoring of analytical to preparative scale processes. This innovative tool facilitates precise remote UV measurements of high-temperature process samples, which would otherwise be almost impossible to measure spectroscopically.
