The use of chromatography software in (petro) chemical laboratories for advanced GC applications
In chemical and petrochemical laboratories gas chromatography (GC) is a commonly used analysis technique. However, as matrices are challenging, the regular “out of the box” configurations of GC instrumentation may not be sufficient to overcome the application challenges caused by these matrices. Therefore often customized GC instrumentation, configured with additional detectors, valves, temperature control zones and sample introduction devices, is used. Using this customized instrumentation potentially can cause issues with the instrument control, as not each individual device or setting may be available in the chromatography software. Chromatography software capable of controlling instruments from multiple vendors also generally has the ability to control the additional setting coming from the customized instrument hardware. This webinar will show how client-server chromatography software can be applied in a chemical laboratory and will include an example of the daily workflow in the research laboratory for developing an application using a customized GC.
