Fill and empty with ease by using DURAN GLS 80 wide neck glass bottles

Dec 03 2013

Thanks to their exceptional properties, such as excellent chemical resistance, nearly inert behaviour and high usage temperature, original DURAN laboratory glass bottles are ideal for many applications in the laboratory.

Particularly easy to use are the DURAN GLS 80 wide neck bottles: Their large 80 mm neck makes them easy to fill and empty without the risk of spillage when handling powders or substances in paste or granule form. Working with scoops, spatulas and tweezers is no problem thanks to the wide mouth. Even large-volume funnels can be inserted into the bottle easily and securely and cleaning is simple and convenient. The specially developed thread and corresponding quick release closure allow the bottle to be opened and closed in less than a turn.

There is a choice of eight different sizes of the bottle, from 250 ml to 20,000 ml, in line with ISO 4796, complemented by the quick release closure. The benefits of the wide mouth make DURAN GLS 80 wide neck glass bottles ideal for use as containers for a very wide range of purposes in the laboratory and throughout industry, wherever there is a requirement for emptying, sampling, filling, safekeeping, shipping, storage, transportation and hot filling.

Product advantages:

  • Available in sizes from 250 to 20,000 ml, with the new intermediate sizes of 250 and 3,500 ml
  • Optimum filling and pouring plus easy cleaning thanks to 80 mm wide neck
  • Available with blue screw cap (PP) and pouring ring
  • The quick release closure (PP) allows the bottle to be opened and closed in less than one turn
  • Proven DURAN properties
  • Glass type 1/ neutral glass conforming to USP / EP and JP
  • Uniform wall thickness
  • Autoclavable / sterilisable
  • With Retrace Code (batch certificate via Internet)
  • Also available in amber or with plastic coating
  • Quality Made in Germany

The bottles are also available in amber or plastic coated in all sizes. The amber coloured DURAN laboratory glass bottle protects media from light in the 300 nm - 500 nm wavelength range. This makes it particularly useful for working with light-sensitive media and for the long-term storage of substances. The plastic coated DURAN GLS 80 protect bottle is ideal for handling particularly valuable or dangerous materials. The plastic coating (made from PU) provides effective protection during routine laboratory work and retains the contents if the glass becomes damaged.

And naturally there is a comprehensive range of original accessories, which offer the correct solution for any requirement: from secure caps for optimum sealing by way of connection systems for easy decanting, through to membrane caps for autoclaving processes, the accessories range perfectly matches the range of DURAN laboratory glass bottles.
