Kromasil new solution for more polar compounds

Sep 24 2019

The new Kromasil wettable phase specifically engineered for bio separations, is geared for the separation and purification of key biomolecules, impurity removal and API manufacturing under aqueous conditions. Kromasil 100 Å C18(w) phase has different characteristics than the well-known classic Kromasil C18, enabling new selectivity and resolution opportunities to isolate impurities and enrich samples containing compounds such as amino acids and peptides.

The new Kromasil wettable phase is the latest innovation of Nouryon on the chromatography market, and a further expansion of the Kromasil Classic portfolio. It is an end-capped phase, permits sample loading and run start in 100% aqueous. Kromasil 100 Å C18 (w) is supplied in 10 µm particles as bulk and packed columns from 4.6 mm ID to 21.2 mm ID.

Independently, if you work in development or screening, pilot facilities or manufacturing, the alternative selectivity offered by Kromasil 100 Å 10 µm C18 (w) can be of significant benefit for your facility in view of the wider spectrum of polar compounds investigated and purified in pharma and biotechnology companies.

Kromasil is a brand of Nouryon with more than 30 years in the market place. The Kromasil product line is made by the Separation Products group, or the Kromasil team, a group of people with skills in a wide range of areas. We are dedicated to our mission to develop outstanding packing materials for HPLC/SFC/SMB, to improve efficiency and decrease costs in your separation step.

When the first Kromasil silica-based packing materials were introduced in the market, they greatly improved the effectiveness of liquid chromatography. What made the new packing material so unique was the combination of high pore volume and surface area, together with a very high mechanical stability. Today this combination of properties is still unmatched by other chromatography packings on the market.
