High-performance Column Options for Reversed Phase Chromatography
May 08 2017
AkzoNobel offers Kromasil, high-performance chromatographic stationary phases and pre-packed columns, for a wide variety of separations from low molecular weight pharmaceuticals, to peptides and larger size molecules. Generally, analysts prefer to run reversed phase chromatography, and the Octadecyl silane (C18) derivatised materials are the most extensively used in the industry.
The accompanying diagram indicates five reversed phase C18 column options available in the Kromasil portfolio providing flexibility to the analyst. As seen in the plot, the Y axis presents each Kromasil C18 column option with its Carbon loading per the X axis. It is therefore possible to use Kromasil C18 columns from single to double digit Carbon loading. The products shown here belong to two Kromasil platforms, Classic and Eternity, illustrating the alternatives that Kromasil columns can offer for C18, the most common derivatisation used in UHPLC and HPLC in the industry today.
