Parents of children at a local school in South Plympton, Australia, are said to be anxious regarding potentially dangerous contaminates in the area's water supply.
According to the Guardian Messenger newspaper, mums and dads are concerned that schools in Edwardstown may have used poisonous groundwater.
Chemical residue from a former Hills Industries site has been found in water, affecting around 2,000 homes.
Headteacher of Forbes Primary School Carol Allen said the South Australian Environment Protection Authority (EPA) has taken a sample of the water.
Further tests, which may be carried out through
ion-exchange chromatography, will be performed to reveal whether dangerous levels of chemicals are present.
However, Ms Allen stated: "The EPA has advised that there is no immediate risk and the school is safe to attend by staff and students in the meantime."
Local mum Louise Cottell told the Guardian Messenger that she is worried about the school, as she was thinking of sending her daughter there.
