Innovation in Separations Science 2011

Waters is pleased to present Innovation in Separations Science, a unique conference where scientists from all over the UK can present their innovative applications of UPLC and MS technologies. This two day meeting will be held at the Marriott Hotel Leicester on June 21st - 22nd, 2011.

There will be a general session in the morning after which 4 sessions will run in parallel. There will also be a tradeshow where the latest Waters products will be shown as well as those from our partner companies.

The 4 sessions to choose from are:

Food and Environmental Testing

This session will include the latest innovations in LC/MS for Food and Environmental testing. We have invited a number of speakers from both UK and International laboratories to present their work.

Separation Technologies in Support of Synthetic Chemistry

The focus of this session will be on the chromatographic tools available for analysis and isolation of compounds in support of Synthetic Chemistry. Speakers from industry and academia will present their latest work and Waters will showcase technologies designed to enhance the quality and reduce the cost of these challenges.

QC and Method Development

This session will include an introduction to Empower 3 and will bring together the latest work from both customers and Waters in the implementation of UPLC within QC and Method Development laboratories.

Biopharmaceuticals

The Biopharma session will bring together key scientists and academics from the UK to discuss the latest developments in LC and LC/MS.

Who should attend?

This conference is intended for all users of Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry, as well as existing users of Waters instruments. Scientists from around the UK will have the opportunity to present their innovative applications of UPLC and MS technologies.

The program consists of lectures in both basic and advanced topics from guest speakers and Waters specialists. Dependent on your interests, you can choose which of the 4 parallel sessions you wish to join. This will be a wonderful opportunity to meet with colleagues and discuss the challenges faced in enhancing productivity while keeping costs down.

Conference Dinner

There will be a gala dinner for all registrants complimentary of Waters with guest speaker Professor Brian Cox. This will be held in the National Space Centre on the evening of 21st June.
